Ken’s Chi Kitchen specializes in slow-smoked BBQ and soulful comfort-food catering inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Chicago and the American South. At the heart of the brand is Ken Hall—a devoted family man, husband, born-again believer, and proud Chicago native whose journey through food spans more than three decades.

 

Raised in the vibrant food culture of the City of Chicago and later shaped by years spent across the South, Ken blends Northern flavor with Southern hospitality in every dish. His career began humbly as a server in Chicago, but with a fair-yet-firm leadership style, a passion for people, and a commitment to excellence, he rose through the ranks of corporate restaurant leadership.

 

Ken has successfully led multi-million-dollar brands including Starbucks, Cracker Barrel, Olive Garden, and others—guiding teams, building culture, and developing future leaders along the way.

 

An entrepreneur at heart, Ken has also created and operated his own concepts, such as SportsBar81 and Stony Terrace—ventures built alongside family and designed to teach the next generation the art and business of hospitality.

 

Today, Ken is bringing his decades of experience, family-infused passion, and faith-driven integrity directly into your home through Ken’s Chi Kitchen Catering. From backyard BBQs to elegant gatherings, Ken delivers handcrafted meals with flavor, warmth, and a personal touch—turning every event into a memorable experience.
